Surprise Proposal at Palisade Head
Dominic reached out to me wanting to surprise Julie with an unforgettable proposal at Palisade Head, which of course I was pumped for. It’s an iconic spot along the North Shore for a good reason. It’s stunning — a dramatic, yet romantic spot to propose. Turns out, Julie was onto him, but had no idea when or where he would pop the question.
Tamarack Nature Center Engagement Session
When Erin and Landon showed up to their engagement session in this fun mushroom print, I knew it was a good fit. They both work outside in the beautiful outdoors; their jobs are actually what brought them together! Erin requested wildflowers in a plains-type setting for their session, so the Tamarack Nature Center was a no-brainer. I love finding locations that fit the visions my clients are dreaming up!
North Shore Engagement Session
Heather and Connor met online playing games with friends, which is so cool considering he was all the way across the pond in Scotland. Their bond grew, bringing him all the way to Minnesota for True Love. Nearly everywhere along the North Shore is a stunning place for photo opportunities. Plus, it was a great opportunity to introduce Connor to some iconic and breathtaking sights in his new home state.
San Francisco Engagement Session
San Francisco is one of my favorite cities. I first visited in 2020, and was ecstatic when I got to go back again for Danaye and Seth’s wedding and engagement photos. All the art, the beautiful succulents, that refreshing coastal air, the Dungeness crab chowder bowls at Boudin…but I digress. This was my first wedding where I had to travel across the country and I’m still really proud of it.
Minneapolis Sculpture Garden Engagement Session
Nature has always been a great source of comfort throughout my life, it allows me to simply exist in the moment, to slow down. For some people, it can be really difficult to relax in front of the camera, which is why I favor longer sessions outdoors. I intentionally block out three hours for my couples sessions. Sure, it could be quicker, but I’ve learned through experience it’s best not to rush the magic that happens once flow state hits.
