Engagement Session at Interstate State Park
If you’ve never been to Interstate State Park in Taylors Fall, Minnesota and you live in the area, I highly recommend taking an afternoon to explore the amazing features that are the glacial potholes. Despite most of the accessible potholes being flooded, it’s still an amazing sight to behold with tons of information to find scattered about the park. You can also take a hike up to the bluffs overlooking the river for a stunning view of the St. Croix River.
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Wedding
Avery and Jon’s wedding day was perfect — overcast but still sunny; warm but not sweltering; breezy but not windy. Getting ready, the entire afternoon their whole group was kind and filled with excitement for the looming celebration. Dani, their 13 year old Samoyed, was the ring bearer, and she did a great job. As an avid nature lover, this is probably one of my favorite venues I’ve had the pleasure and opportunity to photograph at.
Willow River State Park Engagement Session
For living in the North, I’m honestly more surprised winter sessions aren’t more of a thing here, especially because so many popular areas look even more incredible in the winter (if that’s possible!) Just be sure to bring some hand-warmers and a warm drink to keep you comfortable throughout the session!
Summer Wedding at Elm Creek Park Reserve
Thomi and Eric have been together for a long time, so they decided to celebrate that fact with their families with a fun and laid-back summer wedding filled with laughter and dancing. Their daughter was able to participate as their flower girl too! If you’ve ever stopped by the chalet in Elm Creek before, you might not see the potential it has as a venue, but let me tell you: it’s a gorgeous venue to celebrate at.
Engagement Session in Elm Creek Park Reserve
Lisa and Brandon wanted their engagement session to be out in nature, but needed it to be accessible because Brandon uses a wheelchair. After checking in with them about the durability of his wheelchair, I thought Elm Creek Park Reserve would be a fantastic spot to photograph them. Their paved trails are well taken care of and are extensive.
