With so much to explore, it’s worth setting aside a couple of hours to enjoy the experience. Whether you’re wandering the rolling meadows, soaking in the beauty of the formal gardens, or simply walking hand-in-hand down a quiet, tree-lined path, the Arboretum offers endless possibilities to create unforgettable moments.

Afton State Park has a little bit of everything. Rolling prairies, quiet trails, and some of the most peaceful views of the St. Croix River. It’s a place where you can enjoy being in the moment and lose yourself in nature, but don’t worry, the trails are well marked. And it’s only about an hour southeast of the cities!
