Wedding at Legacy Hill Farm

Kacey and Corbin had their wedding at Legacy Hill Farm in Southern Minnesota on a truly perfect summer day. The clouds came when needed, dissipated for sunset, and we all watched as a thunderstorm rolled on by us. I was looking forward to their wedding since I’d taken their engagement photos. The energy of a wedding day is electric compared to my engagement sessions, which are chill by comparison. It’s so fun getting to see my couples all done up and snazzy.

This venue is gorgeous and had everything a nature-loving photographer like myself could ever need for a wedding day. Tons of lush grass and plants, mature trees, rolling cornfields, and beautifully renovated barns. Not to mention, Treasure Island is nearby and actually has a shuttle that runs between the hotel and venue for guests. The weight of the day was not missed by the guests and you could feel the love and excitement in the air. Documenting such a lively and friendly group of people makes my job that much easier. And the couple got a wonderful surprise gift—one of their bridesmaids went into labor and had to leave shortly after the ceremony took place!

The rest of the night was a blast. Donut proposals were made, rumps were shook, and cake was eaten. Congratulations to Kacey & Corbin, and good luck to both of them as they finish med school!!
