Interstate State Park Engagement Session in Taylors Falls, MN
Laila and Chris’s engagement session at Interstate State Park in Taylor’s Falls was the perfect blend of laid-back fun and natural beauty. From the moment we met up at the glacial potholes, I knew we were in for an amazing day. These two are so easygoing and full of energy. Their chemistry was obvious from the start. It made photographing them so fun and easy. We spent the afternoon hiking around, taking in the stunning views of the St. Croix River and soaking up the unique rock formations that make this area so special.
We began the session near the glacial potholes, which are such a cool and distinctive part of the Taylor’s Falls landscape. These natural wonders added a beautiful texture to the photos, and their playful energy made for some truly funny and candid moments. After a quick outfit change, we headed down to the river. The river views are just breathtaking, and it was the perfect place for the couple to relax and appreciate the surroundings. (It’s very important to always be aware of your surroundings while hiking around this park. People climb and boulder in so many different places here, and sometimes rocks just fall. Respect the sings Rangers put up and don’t go into potentially unstable areas. And never walk under someone who is climbing.)
Laila and Chris’s knocked the entire session out of the park. Right from the start, their loving and funny personalities shined in their photos. Any direction given from me, they flew with. Their sense of humor really guided the session and I couldn’t help but laugh along with them as they joked and enjoyed their time in front of my camera. I can’t wait to join them on their wedding day and document all the other special moments they’ll get to experience. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding will be just as beautiful, fun, and filled with love.
