Boom Island Engagement Session

There’s something magical about fall mornings in Minneapolis, and Kate and Dave’s engagement session captured all of that crisp, cozy charm. We started our day at Boom Island Park, where the golden leaves and quiet paths set the tone for an intimate and relaxed session. With the Minneapolis skyline in the background and the Mississippi River nearby, it was the perfect place to begin documenting Kate and Dave’s love story.

From the very start, Kate and Dave’s humor and kindness made photographing them a breeze. They have this natural way of being completely at ease with one another, which allowed their personalities and connection to shine through in every frame. It didn’t take long for them to settle into the rhythm of the session, sharing quiet laughs and playful moments that felt completely authentic to who they are as a couple.

After exploring Boom Island, we meandered over to St. Anthony Main, taking our time to enjoy the slower pace of a quiet morning downtown. The cobblestone streets and historic architecture offered a classic yet cozy backdrop that perfectly complemented the season. Kate and Dave were all about soaking in the moment, whether it was strolling hand-in-hand or pausing to take in the beauty around them.

This session was a wonderful reminder of why I love fall engagements so much. The vibrant colors, the crisp air, and the sense of slowing down before the busy holiday season—it all creates the perfect environment to celebrate love. Kate and Dave’s joy and connection made the morning feel effortless and fun, and I’m so excited to continue documenting their story when their big day arrives in 2025.
