Minneapolis Wedding at The Watson Block

Genia and Surya got married at The Watson Block in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Unfortunately, at the time of their wedding, almost the entire state was under an air quality advisory, so all the photos from the day (save for a few where I ventured out alone) were taken inside to prevent any asthma flare up’s for the bride. Luckily, the venue has enormous windows that let in a ton of light. We watched the cars passing by below as everyone got ready together. The only complaint from the day was the lack of mirrors while getting ready, which is pretty decent considering everything that could happen on such a busy day!

We took all the formal portraits on the second level where the ceremony and reception would be taking place. The ceremony was beautiful, filled with a lot of heartfelt commentary from the officiant, the groom’s brother. The room swap from ceremony to reception was flawless and the rest of the night unfolded beautifully. I don’t think a single person sat out of dancing. The bar downstairs definitely knew there was a celebration taking place. The dance floor was filled with high energy and smiles. Documenting all the laughs and dance moves is one of my favorite parts of the night. I love when couples want to document that part of their night.

I really enjoyed photographing at this venue. There’s so many beautiful spots to set up at take photos inside. Not to mention all the spots outside that are available during good weather and for those willing to make the time to venture out.

Congratulations again to Genia and Surya!
