Crosby Farm Regional Park Engagement Session
This location was another first for me and it’s easily one of my favorite parks now. Clare and Adam took their engagement session very seriously; they knew where they wanted to go and scoped out the location ahead of time, judging the lighting throughout the day. We met up in the parking lot (there’s more than one, careful!) and ventured out from there. Immediately, all three of us were knee deep in Canadian nettle, which was thankfully pretty mild to the other fire weeds I’ve come across. Talk about doing it for the shot!
From there, we worked our way down to the river, letting the trails and our interest in them guide our direction. There was so many clusters of turkey tail mushrooms, I knew I had to include some ring detail photos using the fungi around us.
This engagement session felt so whimsical with all the lush nature surrounding us. Clare and Adam were naturals in front of the camera, especially after we all bonded over our shared experience with the nettle. Since the three of us are all big fans of nature, it was super easy to have fun in the woods while we wandered. That’s also how Clare and Adam came to meet — through classes at University focusing on the environment. They met, and eventually fell for one another, doing field work; looking for frogs, if I’m not mistaken.
I hope you enjoy these highlights from their engagement session because I had a blast photographing them!
