Lively Wedding in Rochester
I had the pleasure of second shooting this fun and energetic wedding in Southern Minnesota for middle school sweethearts, J+A. They said "I do" on a beautiful sunny fall afternoon at Pax Christi Church in Rochester, Minnesota—a moment that had been years in the making. The excitement and joy from their friends and family were absolutely contagious, and the entire day felt like one big celebration.
The portrait session was hands down one of the most lively one I’ve ever been a part of. From the groom being tossed into the air to the bridal party’s full-out energy, every shot was full of laughter and excitement. It was clear that this group had been waiting for this day—and they were ready to make it unforgettable! And if that wasn’t enough, the groomsmen’s human pyramid at the end of the ceremony definitely sealed the deal on what was a truly epic wedding energy.
After the ceremony, everyone piled onto the party bus for a fun pit stop—a perfect chance for the couple to relax with their wedding party before the evening festivities kicked into full gear. This moment of downtime is something I always recommend to couples with a more traditional timeline. If spending quality time with your closest friends and family, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with your new spouse, is important to you, consider scheduling breaks throughout your wedding day. It really helps slow down the whirlwind and lets you fully soak in the experience.
As the night wound down, I left the celebration feeling like it was a huge success—especially when I had to sneak away because the couple and their guests were still having such a great time. Truly an unforgettable day.
